Rev. Gene Blakeman
Co-Host & General Manager - Crossing Paths TV Ministry
Rev. Carl (Gene) Blakeman was born in southern Ohio, one of nine children. He
moved with this parents to Youngstown, OH when he was six. As a result of
quitting school in the 8th grade, Carl became a very shy and backward person
with a tremendous inferiority complex. At the age of 19 he married his wife
Palma and was blessed with six children.
For more than 16 years, Carl worked at Republic Steel in Youngstown as a
millwright. At times he thought about ending his life by jumping from a 150 foot
high blast furnace. But, at the age of 31, Jesus came into his life and set him
free.
In 1969, God moved Carl to General Motors where he worked as a millwright.
During this time, he traveled as a short-term missionary to countries in Central
America and ministered locally in churches, prisons, and nursing homes. God then
called him to full time ministry and at the age of 44 he received his high
school diploma and was then licensed to ministry in 1975. In 1978 he became head
pastor of an Ohio church where he Pastored for 10 years and continued working at
General Motors as millwright. For 12 years, Carl hosted a radio program called,
"The Victory in Jesus Broadcast," on WTOF at 98.1FM, Canton, OH.
Rev. Blakeman retired from General Motors after 24 years service and is now
working full time for the Lord as Co-Host & General Manager of Crossing Paths
T.V. Ministry in Hermitage, PA. He also served as interim pastor of Sheperd of
Love Church in Hermitage PA and Chaplin of the Youngstown chapter of the FGBMFI,
and is President of the Columbiana, Ohio Chapter of FGBMFI.
Rev. Blakeman Co-Hosts Crossing Paths Ministry TV weekly program where local
people share their testimonies. The program is aired weekly on more that 70
